The Public cloud is where Teams resources from Microsoft use the internet and is shared by organizations and people who want to buy and use them. However, this article also contains the versioning information for Government and Soverign Cloud deployments, but for now, those versions are only available to Public Preview customers that have signed up.

This article now contains the versioning information for the new Teams app for Mac and Windows (desktop) for customers in Public Cloud deployments starting on October 1, 2023. If you don't see that version listed here, please update to the newest version of the Teams app before contacting support. This is why build versions may be removed from this page, or you have a build version displayed in the Teams app that isn't available on this page.

In some cases, it is possible when a roll out reaches all customers in the cloud, the build version number may not be the same as the one that was used when the roll out started. When Teams app builds are rolling out to customers, the initial build version that is rolled out may be incremented to a new build version number.
